PHILADELPHIA, September 14, 2000
- William C. Scholl, president and chief operating officer of Pulaski Bank & Trust Company, Little Rock, Arkansas, has been elected chairman of RMA, the Risk Management Association. William L. Perotti, Jr., senior executive vice president and chief credit policy officer of Frost National Bank, San Antonio, Texas, was named vice chairman. Kevin M. Blakely, executive vice president, credit policy and risk management group, KeyCorp, Cleveland, Ohio, is immediate past chairman.
Scholl has served in a variety of senior-level positions with RMA, most recently as vice chairman. He was president of RMA's Mid-South Chapter and chairman of the Central Arkansas Group. He also was a member of the Chapters' Council, and the nominating committee, and was chairman of the RMA's Marketing and Communications Council.
As chief operating officer of Pulaski Bank & Trust, Scholl manages commercial and retail product and service delivery. Prior to joining the bank in October 1997, he was chief lending officer of NationsBank of Arkansas. Previously, he held various positions with One National Bank, First Commercial Bank, NA, and Worthen Bank & Trust Company, NA, all of Little Rock.
Scholl is active in civic and cultural activities. He has served in various officer capacities with the Little Rock Rotary Club and is a board member of the Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce. He also is a member of the board of the Wildwood Park for the Performing Arts and of Junior Achievement of Arkansas.
He is on the board of the Arkansas March of Dimes and a campaign council member of the United Way of Pulaski County. He is a board member of Family Council and an elder of the Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Scholl is an instructor in the department of management of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as an instructor in operations management at the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) graduate school. He also is an instructor in general banking and lending with the Arkansas Bankers Association. He holds a BA in economics and business administration from Wheaton College and an MBA from Northern Illinois University. He attended the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University and RMA's Loan Management Seminar at Ohio State University.
Scholl and his wife, Linda, are the parents of Heather, Nathan, and Lindsey.
