JPMorganChase & Co. Vice Chairman to Address RMA/CBA Consumer Risk Management Conference

RMA--The Risk Management Association and the Consumer Bankers Association will hold the annual Consumer Risk Management Conference in Philadelphia, PA, June 11-12, 2001, at the Loews Hotel. JPMorganChase & Co. Vice Chairman David Coulter will discuss retail management strategies.

Philadelphia, Pa (June 7, 2001) --RMA--The Risk Management Association and the Consumer Bankers Association have invited a distinguished group of speakers to the Annual Consumer Risk Management Conference to be held in Philadelphia, Pa., at the Loews Hotel, June 11-12, 2001.

JPMorganChase & Co. Vice Chairman David Coulter will discuss retail management strategies banks can employ to mitigate risks in their consumer portfolios. In the keynote address, Michael Collins, senior vice president, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, will discuss Basel reform.

Highlights of the conference will include a presentation by Oliver, Wyman & Company Managing Director George Morris, "Managing the Retail Portfolio-Lessons in Applied Risk Management," and a presentation by FleetBoston Financial Corp. Executive Vice President Steven Alexander, "Sharpening Your Credit Decision Tools."

Breakout sessions include discussions about the market's evaluation of bank retail activities and consumer impact issues. Economists will discuss trends and consumer behavior. Operational risk management and the new retail credit management function also will be discussed in special sessions. A panel of experts will discuss "Strategies to Deal with a More Difficult Economic Environment."
